Villa Giovanna was clean, quiet, comfortable, beautiful, and convenient due to their free shuttle service. The staff was incredible. They also have a bar that they serve drinks from nightly and a free breakfast (they will make you coffee, eggs, really anything you would want). They also offered to drive us to the train station which was very helpful since taxis are often expensive. Although it is father from the city center, I would choose to stay there again because of how amazing the staff and service was. There is a beautiful view and the shuttle service takes away any inconvenience of being further away from downtown Sorrento. I would 100% recommend Villa Giovanna to anyone who is going to Sorrento.

It was the perfect spot to base for a trip to the Amalfi coast! The views were stunning, there are many spots in the property to sit and relax outside while contemplating the sunset. The rooms are very comfortable and always clean. The staff was kind and more than helpful, they gave me recommendations on what to do in the coast and accommodated to my transfer schedule when leaving the hotel. The breakfast was really outstanding, high quality food and great service, I still think about it to this day. They have a nice garden with lemon trees next to the dining room. It was a great place to rest and unwind after doing day trips to other places in the coast.

The villa is nestled in a beautiful and tranquil location. While it’s slightly removed from the center of Sorrento, the complimentary shuttle service more than makes up for the distance. We truly appreciated the villa’s authentic charm and the peaceful atmosphere away from the busy main streets. Staying here felt like visiting a warm and welcoming Italian family in the hills of Sorrento. There were a few times when we needed a shuttle outside the scheduled times to take us to or pick us up from the main street, and the villa staff was absolutely wonderful—always accommodating and eager to help my family.

There are lemon and olive trees out your window, and the property has so many sweet little seating areas to relax and enjoy. The staff and owners were wonderful and went out of their way for us. We loved the infinity pool with the fabulous view. We loved the breakfast area and the very kind staff who catered to my vegan diet and never made me feel like a nuisance. We were truly sad to have to leave Villa Giovanna.

The staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble, and they made sure we got a welcome drink on arrival. There is an old-world quality to the design of the hotel, it is the next best thing to staying in your own private villa. The shuttle bus down to the town was brilliant. Breakfast was also very good and plentiful.
